The location, minutes away from the touristic part of Hallstatt and next to the cable car to the salt mines, was convenient for our excursions. As a culinary critic specializing in Austrian cuisine, I appreciated the local food suggestions provided by the polite and efficient reception.During our stay, we discovered that guests could explore hiking paths and mountain bike trails nearby, perfect for a family adventure. Our children, aged 6 and 4, enjoyed the family-friendly atmosphere and the welcoming environment of the hotel. The absence of elevators was not an issue, as the two-storey setup was manageable for us.Pension Bergfried is a nice place for families and couples seeking a comfortable stay in Hallstatt.
